Beyond architecture campaign
Our progress to date (as of 01/21/08): |

|
The AIAS Board of Directors is taking action to aggressively initiate an effort that will make a lasting impact on past, present and future members, disadvantaged individuals, local communities and the architecture profession as a whole. To realize the financial resources necessary to continue this immense endeavor, the AIAS is launching its first major campaign to create an endowment for critical program needs which will enable the AIAS to leverage future funding support for program expansion. The Beyond Architecture Campaign seeks to raise a minimum of $2,000,000 to assist our organization in accomplishing membership and program goals for Freedom by Design™ and for premier initiatives for emerging leaders. “The American Institute of Architecture Students is an important and meaningful organization that is working to make the architecture profession increasingly attractive to the most talented young people in America. I believe that a strong AIAS translates into a strong profession in the future and that is why I recommend that architects and especially firm owners support the AIAS.” James P. Cramer, Hon. AIA, General Campaign Chair |
"My passion is great design and I am dedicated to providing great design to people with disabilities. I am pleased to support the efforts of the AIAS and am excited about the good work offered by the Freedom by Design program. I encourage others to get involved." Michael Graves , FAIA |

Freedom by Design™
The AIAS community service initiative utilizes the talents of architecture and design students to improve the lives of disabled individuals through modest design/build solutions. Comfort, dignity and safety are the priorities.
Emerging Leaders
The AIAS leadership development activities provide significant opportunities for students to advance their skills and prepares them to become leaders in industry, in their communities and in society.
