Architecture and design students from across the world gathered in Minnesota for the 54th annual FORUM, the annual meeting of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). Hosted by the AIAS University of Minnesota Chapter, the event attracted more 625 students and professionals for four days of programming and discourse surrounding the theme of the conference: Connections. In a time where so much remains uncertain about the future of the architecture and design professions, FORUM 2009 helped students to explore how connecting with our minds, the profession, our communities and the world can help to prepare the future generation of design leaders to meet the challenges and opportunities they will face as they enter the profession. Nearly 600 students and professionals from around the world converged upon Minnesota's Twin Cities to explore the connections between architecture and our world. FORUM 2009 was hosted by the AIAS Chapter at the University of Minnesota.
