Submissions can be the work of an individual or a group of up to 4 members. While the design competition focuses on issues more suitable for advanced students, all architecture and design students worldwide may enter. Additionally, young designers that have graduated within 18 months of the registration deadline may enter. Submissions should be principally the product of work in a design studio, planning class, design charrette or a person's spare time.

All information and materials needed to successfully participate in the competition are contained in this program document.There is no entry or submission fee required to participate in the competition for AIAS members. There is a $10.00 submission fee for non-members. Competition entries may be the work of an individual or team.

Registrations must be completed through this Web site by 5:00 pm, Eastern Time, on Monday, October 18, 2010. Within two business days of registering, a confirmation will be emailed to any and all individual. Please keep a copy of this confirmation for your records as verification.

PLEASE NOTE: If no one on your team is a member of the AIAS, a $10 registration fee is required. This fee can be paid through PayPal, or by mailing a check/money order (made out to the "AIAS") with your regsitration number in the "Memo" are to:

Entries must be uploaded through this Web site by 5:00 pm, Eastern Time, on Monday, November 29, 2010. If the submission is from a team of students all student team members will have the ability to upload the digital files. Once the final submissions are uploaded no additional edits, uploads, or changes can be made. Within 48 hours of upload, each student will receive a confirmation email notification.

A final Submission upload must contain the following files in a single (ZIP) folder not exceeding 20 MB:

• Completed submission information cover page including all team members and faculty sponsors (download PDF here)
• Each of the four 20"X 20" boards individually as high resolution Portable Document Format (PDF) files, or as 150 DPI Image (JPEG, TIFF or GIF) files
• A copy of the design essay as a high resolution Portable Document Format (PDF) file or Document (DOC) file

Please use the file uploader below to submit your final design file (ZIP format not exceeding 20MB)*. Please name your submission file with your registration number (ex: 1234A.zip).

If you have lost your regsitration number, please email the AIAS at competitions@aias.org.

*To uload a file please click "add files" to open a file browser. Select your final submission file from your computer and click "open." Once you have successfully selected your file for submission a new red button should appear below the uploader. Click the "drop it" button to submit your file. When the file is uploaded a message indicating "this drop is full" should appear. This is beacuse each individual or team is only allowed to submit one file.
