Autodesk BIM Solutions Required for 2011 Solar Decathlon


The U.S. Department of Energy, which hosts the Solar Decathlon competition, will require all teams in the 2011 competition to use Autodesk® Revit® Architecture software in the design development and construction documentation phases of their projects. Teams will also be required to use Autodesk® 3ds Max® Design software to develop virtual tours of their houses. Teams will be encouraged to use tools such as Autodesk® Ecotect® software and Autodesk® Green Building Studio® web service to conduct their energy analyses. Students and faculty have the opportunity to get familiar with these products today via the Autodesk Education Community.
