AIAS/AIA Trust Scholarship Recipients
Each year the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) and AIA Trust offer scholarships to members of the AIAS with financial need pursuing a professional NAAB accredited degree. A scholarship of up to $1,000.00 is awarded to 5 individuals who are selected based on their application packages as reviewed by a jury. In May of 2012, The AIAS compiled a jury of five professionals from the Washington, DC Metropolitan area recognized as:
Nick Mancusi, Assoc. AIA – President of the American Institute of Architecture Students
Kevin Fitzgerald, AIA – the American Institute of Architects
Kelly Anderson, LEED AP – Lehman Smith McLeish
Nathan Strieter – Lehman Smith McLeish
Jennifer Harty, AIA, LEED AP – Cunningham Quill Architects
After deliberations the jury selected five recipients of the scholarship:
Ninoska Batista – Virginia Tech
Sunnie Diaz – University of Louisiana at Lafayette
Mandel McDonnell – Arizona State University
Danielle McDonough – University of Michigan
Amber Ovitt – Washington & Alexandria Architecture Center
