Each month, the AIAS highlights the outstanding dedication and accomplishments of one of its members. The Chapter Leader of the Month can be a Chapter President or any member who has shown tremendous leadership.

The AIAS is proud to recognize Audrey Huhn (she/her) from the University of Michigan as our March Chapter Leader of the Month, celebrating her dedication to growth, leadership, and building meaningful connections between education and professional practice.

Audrey joined AIAS in her very first semester, eager to get involved and make the most of her experience in architecture school. Since then, AIAS has played a key role in her development—helping her grow as a leader while deepening her understanding of how the profession connects to education. That same perspective has guided her leadership, as she works to create opportunities for members to engage more fully with both their academic and professional journeys.

As Co-President, alongside Lucy Martin, Audrey has helped lead the University of Michigan chapter through a period of strong growth and increased engagement. Together, they expanded outreach to include more first-year and graduate students, growing the chapter to over 110 members. They also diversified programming to better reflect the interests and needs of their members, while creating more visibility for committee work—ensuring that students feel connected, involved, and empowered within the organization.

Audrey’s leadership is rooted in consistency, initiative, and care for her peers. Even before stepping into her current role, she was deeply involved—serving on the events committee, attending every meeting, and actively promoting the organization to grow membership and engagement.

As shared by her co-president and nominator, Lucy Martin:

“Audrey has gone above and beyond in her dedication for this organization. She has taken on her leadership role with kindness, understanding, and a firm hand, handling challenges with remarkable grace while uplifting everyone she meets.”

Leading alongside a new executive board, Audrey has demonstrated a strong ability to balance delegation, accountability, and support—stepping in when needed while fostering a collaborative and positive team environment. Her leadership reflects both resilience and intention, ensuring that her chapter continues to grow in meaningful and sustainable ways.

Audrey’s impact is felt not only in the growth of her chapter, but in the culture she helps create—one that prioritizes connection, opportunity, and shared success. We are proud to celebrate her as March’s Chapter Leader of the Month.
