Washington, D.C. – April 25, 2016 – The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) is celebrating the 60th anniversary of student excellence in education, communities, design and policy.
“The 60th anniversary represents both a celebration and a launch pad. We will be highlighting and recognizing the people that got us here while simultaneously kicking off programming to propel the people who will experience the next 60 years of the AIAS,” stated Executive Director Nick Serfass.
In honor of our 60th year, the AIAS is excited to announce a yearlong program of events, including a 60th alumni feature, a special 60th interactive design conference, along with numerous other events during the year and at our major conferences. Throughout these events AIAS will be partnering with leading producers and providers in the design, entertainment and education industries.
The 60th interactive design conference will give architecture’s top 60 students access to lectures, tours and charrettes with the world’s best dreamers. Releasing the first week of July, the 60th alumni feature is a weekly spotlight, highlighting 60 of our successful alumni. AIAS Grassroots and AIAS FORUM will also host 60th receptions and events.
