Each month, the AIAS highlights the outstanding dedication and accomplishments of one of its members. The Chapter Leader of the Month can be a Chapter President or any member who has shown tremendous leadership.

 

   

October 2025 Chapter Leader of the Month: Terence Huang

University at Buffalo

Terence Huang is the Immediate Past President of the AIAS University at Buffalo Chapter. His AIAS journey began at Grassroots 2023, where he was welcomed into the community with open arms and connected with peers from around the world. Inspired to bring that same energy back to his local chapter, Terence helped lead the chapter to its largest membership in history. The team recently hosted the 2025 Northeast Quad Conference, with the goal of fostering meaningful connections between chapters and leaving a lasting impact

“Terence has played a critical role for our chapter throughout his time as president, securing our spot as host of the 2025 NEQ conference and managing our chapter during a period of rapid growth. Without his leadership we would not be the chapter that we are – If I could nominate him to be the chapter leader of the YEAR I absolutely would. His proactivity in keeping us connected to both the greater AIAS global organization and with our local architectural community here in Buffalo is commendable – he has constantly been the one to step up when others have not and in this way has carried our organization on his shoulders this year,” said Ryan Mellen, current UB Chapter President.
