Are you planning on getting licensed some day? If so, the AIAS can help make it easier to afford the Architect Registration Exam! The Professional Advancement Support Scholarship, or PASS, will pay you back for your exam if you can pass a division within one year of graduating! But first, we need your help in spreading the word about the fundraising campaign, PASS Fund, we’re leading to kick off the first year of scholarships!

The cost of taking the ARE should never be a reason to not pursue licensure, or even to delay the process! The sooner you’re able to get started, the less intimidating it becomes to keep moving forward on the path. Regardless of your career goals, in traditional practice or not, having that license in your back pocket will only be a plus.

We need your help in spreading the word about our PASS Fund, which is now live at AIAS.org/PASS. Every dollar can make a huge difference in the life of a young professional, and recipients will be matched up with the donor of their scholarship to stay informed on their progress! You could even host a fundraiser for your Chapter, and then challenge your local AIA Component to match it!

To promote the launch of the PASS Fund, I’m embarking on what we’re calling the 7-in-7 Campaign. For the next seven weeks, as I prepare to take the AREs myself, I’ll be posting videos and blogs documenting my experience, and sharing all of the resources and information I use along the way. At the end of those seven weeks, I’ll sit for ALL SEVEN divisions, back to back, from May 27th through June 4th.

The hope is that by easing the financial burden of testing, and providing a series of resources and information on the ARE, more of you aspiring architects will be motivated to get started on the path early! Please share the campaign, including the hashtags #7in7 and #PASS, and encourage your professors, schools, firms, and professional mentors to make a contribution! The exam they sponsor could be YOURS!
