May 2026 Chapter Leader of the Month: Dania Morelli

The AIAS is proud to recognize Dania Morelli from the University of Colorado Denver as our May Chapter Leader of the Month, celebrating her leadership, dedication, and deep commitment to building community within architecture.

For Dania, AIAS has always been more than a student organization—it has been a place of belonging. What began as a way to meet people quickly became the center of her architecture experience, where she found a community of peers who shared the same passion, challenges, and drive. Over four years of chapter board service, culminating in her role as Chapter President, Dania has worked to ensure that same sense of connection is available to every member who joins.

One of the defining moments of her leadership came this past January, when she played a key role in planning and hosting AIAS FORUM 2026 in Denver. Through her efforts, hundreds of students from across the globe gathered to connect, learn, and build community—an experience that reflects the very heart of what AIAS represents. Her leadership extends beyond the chapter as well, having been elected in 2023 to serve as the student voice on the AIA Colorado Board as an at-large director.

Dania’s impact is rooted in her dedication to people. As President, she has led with intention—strengthening chapter operations, supporting her board, and creating opportunities for members to engage, grow, and lead. Her approach to leadership reflects a deep belief that architecture is not just about buildings, but about the relationships and communities we build along the way.

“Dania has poured countless hours into not only maintaining a strong and healthy chapter, but also leading the team through the planning of FORUM in Denver. Her initiative, organization, and willingness to step in and support others have been essential to the chapter’s success.”

Through her leadership, Dania has helped shape a chapter that is not only growing, but thriving—grounded in connection, purpose, and shared success. We are proud to celebrate her as May’s Chapter Leader of the Month.
