You spend all semester designing buildings. Now design something people will actually wear to studio.
The AIAS Merch Design Competition is open. We’re inviting members to design the next official piece of AIAS merch. The winning design will be produced as a limited AIAS drop and worn by members across the country.
Who can enter
Any active AIAS member, including both college and high school members. Each member can submit one entry, so make it count.
The rules
- Your own work. Every part of the design has to be created by you. No AI-generated content of any kind.
- 6 colors max. Count every ink color, including white or black if they print.
- Put a year on it. [Confirm which year.]
- Represent the whole AIAS. Designs should speak to the organization as a whole and follow the AIAS brand standards.
- Keep it clean. No explicit or NSFW content, no political content, and nothing that uses copyrighted or trademarked material you don’t own.
- Make it production-ready. Submit a high-resolution PNG (transparent background preferred) or a vector PDF. Designs should work on [a t-shirt, sweatshirt and/or tote bag].
How it works
- Now through Dec 5: Design and submit your entry.
- December: AIAS HQ reviews every entry to make sure it follows the rules.
- At FORUM: The Council of Presidents votes on the finalists.
- FORUM Closing Ceremony: The winner is revealed.
- After that: The winning design drops as limited-edition AIAS merch. It retires and becomes “vintage” one week after the following Grassroots, so grab it while you can.
What the winner gets
Your design produced as official AIAS merch, [prize], and a shoutout across AIAS social media and the website.
How to enter
Submit through the entry form by Saturday, December 5 at 11:59 PM ET. You’ll need to sign in to a Google account to upload your files.
Before you submit, know this: by entering, you agree that all creative rights to your submitted design will be owned by the AIAS. You also agree that, if your design is selected, we can share your name, chapter and design publicly.
