The verdict in the trial of Derek Chauvin is a possible, hopeful step in the nation’s long journey toward accountability and addressing broken systems that have failed and stolen too many lives: George Floyd, Daunte Wright, Adam Toledo, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and so many more.
