Start a New Chapter

In order to create a successful AIAS Chapter, it is imperative to have a strong foundation. We require that there are (5) Founding Members and (1) Faculty Advisor to set up a chapter.

All Founding Members & Faculty Advisor should join the AIAS as a General Member.

1. When it gets to the part to “Select Your Chapter”, select “N/A – General Affiliate” until we get your chapter up and running, then we’ll add the chapter to the portal and assign all members to the chapter.

   2. Complete the membership form for the 2025-2026 school year (this is how you become an AIAS member): https://aias.memberclicks.net/membership-form

This form will include contact information of all 5 founding members and your Faculty Advisor.

FILL OUT THE CHAPTER INFORMATION FORM

Use our Model Bylaws to create your Chapter specific bylaws that your Chapter will adopt.

Get a feel for what other students in your region are doing by attending one of our Regional Calls.

Determine which region you are in, and reach out to the appropriate Quad/Regional Director. You may find their contact information on our Board of Directors page.

Blue = Middle East
Light Purple = Latin America
Red = Northeast Quad
Bright Purple = Midwest Quad
Orange = South Quad
Green = West Quad

 

With that, you are ready to get started! Reach out to the director in your region or quad to catch up with everything happening in your area and get one-on-one support as you build up your community.

At this time, you will also gain access to your official AIAS Chapter email account and Chapter Profile in our portal. This is an essential part to get official communications from our Headquarters, get connected with other chapters and resources, and participate in our Council of Presidents. Additionally, this account can be used as a virtual workshop to build your chapter and communicate with others!
