Are you looking for ways to serve your community safely from the comfort of your own home? You still can! Enjoy a small service project of writing a thank you note to essential workers or making fabric masks during a virtual hangout with all of your closest friends. Check below to know what supplies you’ll need to bring, including something to sip on! 

 

When: Saturday, May 2, 2020 from 7p to 9p EDT (4p to 6p PDT)

What to bring:

  • Thank You Note Supplies:
    • Kind words
    • Pen and paper and envelopes
    • Wi-Fi
    • Addresses or Emails for your local essential service providers (grocers, healthcare workers, mailpeople, professors and teachers, etc.)
  • Letters to Congress Supplies: 
    • Pen and paper and envelopes
    • Wi-Fi
    • Addresses or Emails for your Congresspeople
  • Fabric Mask Supplies: 
    • No Sew: Bandana Mask 
      • 1 Bandana
      • 2 Hair ties or Rubber Bands
      • Coffee Filter (optional)
    • No Sew: T-Shirt Mask 
      • 1 Cotton T-Shirt
      • Scissors
    • Sew Mask 
      • Two 10”x6” rectangles of cotton fabric
      • Two 6” pieces of elastic (or rubber bands, string, cloth strips, or hair ties)
      • Needle and thread (or bobby pin)
      • Scissors
      • Sewing machine/Needle and Thread
  • Something to sip on!
