This is your official welcome to the 2017 AIAS National Spring Membership Drive!
The spring semester has started and we are excited to leap forward into the new year!
As we come to 2017 all refreshed, renewed, re-energized, we want to keep this passionate and emphatic momentum rolling forward.
To start, the theme:
Our members are visible, heard, and valued.
Ultimately, this idea originated from the productive and insightful conversations held with the Council of Presidents at FORUM 2016 in Boston. With this theme, we are emphasizing your voice.
As the National Office is gearing up to create and curate more digital content, address the communication of membership value through various and diverse resources, this theme is as much a charge for us at a national level to deliver, as it is a truth — a call from you, our membership.
Everything we do starts with exposure and visibility of our members, of our organization, of the importance of architecture and design.
So to kick start your semester, we challenge you all to, again, generate high frequency weeks — “Visibility Weeks” — to showcase, celebrate, and communicate your chapter’s continued efforts to create visible IMPACT, visible CHANGE, visible NETWORKS, visible ADVOCACY, and ultimately visible VALUE.
Our goal is to turn the organization’s social media platforms into a curated representation of our members’ values. In addition to our weekly e-newsletter, we will now be creating a new Insta and Snap Story segment featuring five things every AIAS member should know for the week. This new feature is an attempt to give our members the opportunity to be up-to-date on everything AIAS.
This month we are also excited to be showcasing more AIAS chapters through our AIAS National Instagram Takeovers. Be sure to visit our Instagram and to use the hashtag, #visibleVALUE. Use this hashtag, and you may see your photo on the AIAS National Instagram page!
The spring is also a time of transition and continuity within chapters as leaders and members continue their growth.
