The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) is proud to announce the winners of the spring InStudio: Portfolio Competition. AIAS members were asked to share their portfolios to highlight their studio work and to provide inspiration for those looking to enhance their own skill sets. This competition was open to all years and skill sets.

FIRST PLACE | $300

The portfolio tells a very detailed story with each part. The work is clean and cohesive and showcases a range of skills and process ability.

The diagrammatic representation of each project created a beautiful through-line connecting the projects and making the document feel cohesive. Each drawing felt like it was give appropriate respect – especially on the intangible boundaries project.

Excellent work, brief but thorough. Well crafted and excellent combination of styles and methods. Easy to follow. The ability to be this concise but showcase such ability is unique and valuable.
