Each month, the AIAS highlights the outstanding dedication and accomplishments of one of its members. The Chapter Leader of the Month can be a Chapter President or any member who has shown tremendous leadership.

Brandon Sarrett, a graduate of the University of Kentucky is our September Chapter Leader of the Month. Brandon received a bachelor of architecture in May of 2022!

In his time at the University of Kentucky, Brandon served as his chapter’s vice president for a year and a half. During this time he says that he and his team, “managed to boost the morale of our chapter exponentially by offering more fun and engaging opportunities for members to engage in.” During the first fall of his position, they doubled the amount of members by marketing the AIAS at UK by marketing a fun yet prosperous organization to the incoming class.

Some of the events that were held during his tenure included successful social and philanthropic events during his tenure which actively engaged members in the local community. By creating a set of founding bylaws, they were able to give their offers a direction to really get the AIAS UK chapter going.

When reflecting on the recent transition, Brandon says the day of the transition was very heartwarming for him; “I retired my duties to a new class of officers, and I couldn’t be more proud. For the first time in two years I sat in the crowd and watched John Michael and Taylor Beth absolutely kill it at recruiting, as they got almost half of the incoming class to join our group. It’s hard to put into words what AIAS means to mean and how proud I am of our new class of Officers for their passion and commitment to excellence for the greater good of our chapter at The University of Kentucky.”

WHAT BENJAMIN MOORE® COLOR BEST REPRESENTS YOUR PERSONALITY AND WHY?

Brandon’s chosen Benjamin Moore color is “Poolside”. Brandon writes that ” This color radiates positive energy, and makes me feel warm yet cool. When I see this color I imagine relaxing in the warm tropics confronted by the cool breeze rising off the poolside.”
