It is very close knit and welcoming, everyone knows each other and feels safe and comfortable reaching out and being together and working together.

Give one tip that has helped you succeed in your studio:

Also create a good relationship with your studio professor, and make sure you’re communicating and asking for help when needed.

What motivates you to work hard in studio?
The goal and finish line of being able to start working and begin my career.

What aspect of your studio experience do you think will help you get a job?
My communication and group work skills are the most applicable to getting a job and being able to work in a larger group environment.

What can professors do to create a helpful and supportive studio culture?

Definitely be more understanding and open to new ideas that don’t align with their design prompts.

 

 

 

 

 

                                                                                             

 

What should a high school student understand about studio at your university?

Studio pushes you to design and create your best projects while helping you understand the importance of each step of the design process.

What can AIAS do to help improve your studio experience?
Our own AIAS chapter is great at putting on events that support the students such as portfolio reviews and workshops. Events like that on a global scale could be extremely helpful.

What would be in your ideal studio care package?
Snacks! comfortable blankets, and lots of trace and pens, Things that will support me being in studio all night working.
