In response to recent legislative activity, the AIAS reiterates that it is strongly opposed to any restriction placed on the right of all people to a quality education. The AIAS does not support measures of any kind that seek to suppress academic freedom or to obstruct the vision of the AIAS: to create a more sustainable, healthy, and equitable future through the empowerment of student voices, ideas, and actions. We believe that the only way to bring about such a future involves the intentional inclusion of diversity in education.
