Describe your studio culture:

My studio is like my second family; they are supportive and always make the sleepless nights a little more bearable.

 

Give one tip that has helped you succeed in studio:

What has helped me succeed in studio is the positive influence and creative atmosphere that is created by all of the professors and students around me.

 

What motivates you to work hard in studio?

Seeing the work that other people are able to produce motivates me to work harder.

 

What aspect of your studio experience do you think will help you get a job?

The professors challenge us to think more deeply and critically about what we do and why we do it. This ensures that we are creating spaces with greater purpose.

 

What can professors do to create a helpful and supportive studio culture?

Having a professor that wants to see you succeed is one of the greatest ways to have a positive studio culture. Seeing and knowing that they believe in you is one of the most encouraging things.

 

What should a high school student understand about studio at my university?

My advice would be, architecture is never easy and there is a lot of work that will have to get done but in the long run it is all worth it.

What can AIAS do to help improve your studio experience?

AIAS could provide more opportunities that bring the different classes together, giving people the chance to get away from their work and interact among their peers.

 

What would be in your ideal studio care package?

The ideal studio care package for me would include sticky notes, colorful sharpies, trace paper, goldfish crackers and anything with chocolate!
