Last year the AIAS saw its first major update to its website since 2005. This year we’ve taken it a step further.

The vision is to showcase you, your chapters, your schools and all of the awesome work that you’re doing. The AIAS family has so much knowledge, and we hope this new website features the things you and your chapter do. We know that others want to hear about your success and and to also learn from the hardships you may have faced.

Some of the elements from the site may look familiar — we took inspiration from you! One example is the yellow announcement bar at the top of the homepage which is to alert you of any pressing deadlines or other important updates from the National Office. Thank you to the AIAS 2016 Quad Conference team for that design element!

Our homepage banner allows us to promote several big items, and for our 60th Anniversary we have lots of exciting things to feature. We also have a variety of digital media features that are showcased underneath the homepage banner.

The biggest thing that we want to do with this website is to highlight some of the interesting, innovative things our chapters and members are doing. Each Quad and International has its own news feed.

We’ve also brought back chapter pages. Here you can find information on the chapter president and faculty advisor, event hosting history, any board members from your school and more! We’ve also included a feed that has any stories where your chapter is tagged. Can’t find your chapter? Make sure you fill out the Update Chapter Information Form. Is something missing from your page? Feel free to send me an email at natalieneumann@aias.org.

Another new area to the website is our resource page. There you can find useful and important information like the Freedom By Design (FBD) Manual, Quad Conference Roles and Responsibilities, links to licensure and more. We’re working to continually add resources such as budget templates, member recruitment and chapter transition checklists.

We hope you find the website useful and are inspired by other chapters and the cool things they are doing. Whether it’s an awesome fundraiser, a struggle with your chapter’s FBD project, or a story about your school’s studio culture we want to hear about it. Feel free to reach out for any stories or issues you may have with the website: natalieneumann@aias.org.

We look forward to hearing from you!
